Home Energy Assistance Program
The Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program offers eligible customers several types of assistance:
- Home heating assistance
- Electric assistance for energy costs not used for heating
- Crisis assistance for energy emergencies
- Furnace assistance for repair or replacement of nonoperating heating equipment
- Weatherization assistance to keep homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer

The fund is a statewide nonprofit charitable effort to keep heat and power on for Wisconsin residents most vulnerable in energy-related emergencies.
