The plant is located in Walworth County, Wisconsin, in the town of LaGrange. It is approximately 4.5 miles southeast of the city of Whitewater, and approximately 5.6 miles northwest of the city of Elkhorn.

Control room
All major functions in the plant are controlled by operators with computer support to continuously monitor and report on pressures, temperatures, flow rates, etc. In addition, the computer aids in startup, shutdown and information for future reference.
