Biomass Energy Project
We have proposed construction of a $250 million biomass-fueled power plant at Domtar Corporation’s Rothschild, Wis., paper mill site.

Carbon Capture
We have successfully hosted a demonstration project at Pleasant Prairie Power Plant that aims to achieve a highly efficient carbon capture rate of carbon dioxide emissions.

Air Quality Control Systems
As part of our commitment to upgrade environmental performance, a new air quality control system was added to Pleasant Prairie Power Plant. We also are constructing a new air quality control system at Oak Creek Power Plant to further reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide.

Wind Developments
Blue Sky Green Field Wind Energy Center began operating 88 wind turbines in the towns of Marshfield and Calumet in northeast Fond du Lac County in May 2008. The proposed Glacier Hills Wind Park is located in the towns of Randolph and Scott in Columbia County.

Power the Future
Since 2000, our Future program has been investing in additional power generation, improving existing power plants and adding additional renewable energy resources.

Natural Gas Pipelines
As natural gas demand continues to grow, we are building two natural gas laterals that will connect to the Guardian Pipeline.
